Delta Sigma Theta
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a historically Black Greek-letter sorority founded on January 13, 1913, at Howard University. It was established by 22 collegiate women who sought to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. Delta Sigma Theta is one of the Divine Nine organizations, which are historically Black Greek-letter organizations in the United States. The sorority is known for its commitment to public service, social activism, and sisterhood. Its members, referred to as Deltas, engage in various community service initiatives and advocacy efforts focused on issues such as education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and social justice.
